This blog got 609 views on October 25, 2007, exceeding the previous record of 451 that was set about a year ago.
Here are the posts that got the most views:
77 On IBM’s Lotus Notes (new)
68 Memo to IBM Research: Where are You? (new)
47 Virgil Starkwell Meets the Internet (new)
29 Java Heats Up
26 On Education, Innovation, OLPC, And Open-Source
18 Building your own Linux Ubuntu computer
where (new) indicates a post published that day.
These posts accounted for over a third of the total.
The “Java Heats Up” post is an old one that was referenced in the “Memo to Research,” so if we combine these two we get:
97 Memo to IBM Research: Where are You? (including Java Heats Up)
77 On IBM’s Lotus Notes
47 Virgil Starkwell Meets the Internet
26 On Education, Innovation, OLPC, And Open-Source
18 Building your own Linux Ubuntu computer
I see by the search strings that people did not find the new posts via a search engine, and so found them via links to them from other sites, or because someone sent them an email or online message mentioning their existence.
The comments indicate that I appear to be alone in having a problem with the Escape key.
There were also several suggestions that I try Notes 8. I checked, and I am using Notes 7.0.2.
I’ll wait a couple of days for the traffic on these posts to settle down, and will then summarize the results again. I’ll also upgrade to Notes 8 if I can find the time.
Thanks to all who took time to view the posts and those who commented on them.
